Sameer Qumsiyeh is a Palestinian filmmaker based in Bethlehem.
He directed, produced, filmed and edited several Award-Winning narrative and documentary films.

For more than 15 years, Sameer worked on Narrative Films, Documentaries, T.V and Online Videos and filled many different positions, such as:

Film Editor  |  Video Editor  |  Subtitling and Translation  |  Camera Operator  |
Sound Engineer (in film)  |  and recently as a DIT (Digital Imaging Technician)
on the the latest -Two-Time Oscar Nominee- Hani Abu Assad’s feature film.

Worked on various local and international projects including productions by National Geographic, ZDF, MBC Group (Arab Idol) and others.

Also produced and edited content for local organizations and institutes such as Defense for Children International: Palestine, FilmLab: Palestine, Bethlehem University, Palestine Museum of Natural History, Diyar Consortium and many others.

In 2020 he started creating Online Videos that explore topics such as global citizenship, life in Palestine and mental health as well as personal reflections.

Sameer is a graduate of the Documentary Production program of Dar Al-Kalima University in Bethlehem.

Apart from his life in film, Sameer is a devoted backpacker who believes in the
power of international travel as a way for cultural understanding
and building bridges between people.
